Anti Gay Televangelist Admits On Tape He Had Sex With A Man

Popular televangelist and notorious homophobe Ernest Angley is caught on tape admitting to having sexual relations with a man.

Ohio.com reports:

In 1996, internationally known televangelist Ernest Angley admitted to his assistant minister that he had had sexual relations with a man who was employed by their church, Grace Cathedral in Cuyahoga Falls. The telephone conversation was tape-recorded and made available to the Beacon Journal and Ohio.com last month.

Indeed, Angley has a long and well deserved reputation for being vehemently anti-gay, and often preached against the so-called “sin” of homosexuality.

Ohio.com also notes:

Angley has consistently condemned homosexuality. In a 1995 book called “Oh, God, What a Mess!” he wrote, “Homosexuality is vile, vile before God; and it will send souls to hell.”

The following is a transcript from the leaked audio recording where Angley admits to having sexual relations with an unnamed man employed by Angley’s church:

Davis: “There’s been horrible discord here … [while Angley was on a mission trip in Africa]. It’s all I could do to keep [Regina] from talking. She was so angry over that word ‘vulgar.’ You know what she said she was going to tell? She said, ‘I’ll tell you what vulgar is: Him and [name withheld] naked, laying in Angel’s bed, masturbating each other and going to the bathroom to have to wash the ejaculation off his hands.’ …” Angel is Angley’s wife, who died in 1970.

Angley: “That’s not true because I didn’t ejaculate him. I didn’t make him cum.”

Davis: “Well, you was both naked in that bed.”

Angley: “Well, I didn’t make him cum.”

Davis: “Well, he made you cum then because he … described your penis.”

Angley: “He didn’t make me cum. No, he didn’t.”

Davis: “Well, you was in there naked.”

Angley: “Well, I didn’t say I wasn’t.”

Davis: “That’s vulgar.”

This is not the first time Angley has been accused of sexual misconduct towards his employees. In fact, the popular televangelist has a history of bizarre sexual abuse involving his employees.

Previously Angley made news after reports circulated that the televangelist forced followers to have abortions and vasectomies in order to avoid the costs of raising children because “Jesus needs money.”

According to former members of the large congregation, Angley coerced pregnant women to have abortions and men to have vasectomies because the costs of raising children would divert future funds from the church.

A scathing expose, published by the Akron Beacon Journal in 2014, exposed some of Angley’s more sinister practices:

Angley’s church is a dangerous cult where pregnant women are encouraged to have abortions, childless men are encouraged to have vasectomies and Angley — who preaches vehemently against the “sin” of homosexuality — is himself a gay man who personally examines the genitals of the male parishioners before and after their surgeries. They also say he turns a blind eye to sexual abuse by other members of his church.

In fact, many female church members report they were forced into having abortions by Angley.

In addition to forced family planning, Angley is also accused of sexually abusing boys and young men in the church, accusations Angley denies:

I’m not a homosexual. God wouldn’t use a homosexual like he uses me. He calls me his prophet, and indeed I am. They called Jesus a homosexual, did you know that? And still do. Because he was with men.

However, while denying he is “a homosexual” Angley does admit, and many former male church members confirm, that Angley often examined the genitals of men before and after receiving their vasectomies:

Sure, I’d have them uncover themselves, but I did not handle them at all.

(Insert expression of disgust or distaste here.)

Note: There is nothing wrong with being gay or bisexual. What is wrong is the hypocrisy, and the hate.

Bottom line: Popular televangelist Ernest Angley is a self-loathing creep. Yet his supporters will claim the televangelist is a prophet of God, currently under attack by Satan.
