Rejected American Idol Contestant Returns As His Drag Alter Ego
Back in 2013, judges rejected former hopeful Adam Sanders -now 24 – during season 12 of the US singing competition.
But, rather than take the criticisms to heart, Adam went away and practiced a new approach.
And on Sunday, Sanders gloriously returned to the show during Season 16 as queen alter-ego, Ada Vox.

The show saw Vox unleash a new walk, new singing voice and plenty of new sass for judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
The singer told the judges how she was shamed for her size and sexuality after being eliminated from the top 50 during that season’s Hollywood Week.
‘It killed me inside. It killed me almost as much as the people who were telling me that I should kill myself,’ Vox emotionally told the judges.
Vox then slayed the panel with an impressive rendition of the House Of The Rising Sun by The Animals.
Looking gobsmacked, Judge Richie told Ada: ‘We’ve had a lot of artists come on here, talented, but a bit confused.
‘What you are giving us is a clear understanding of who you are, coming in with an amazing amount of talent.’
