A man who shot and chopped up the gay roommate of his girlfriend out of jealousy has now been given life sentence.
Ciro Guarente murdered gay activist Vincenzo Ruggiero in Aversa, southern Italy, in July 2017.
After shooting him dead, the killer also tried to conceal Ruggiero’s corpse by chopping it up, dissolving it in acid and hiding it in a nearby garage.
Guarente was jealous of the victim, a friend of his trans girlfriend Heven Grimaldi. Grimaldi and Ruggiero, in fact, were living together at the time of the assassination.
