Man Says Postal Worker Called Him A Homophobic Slur

A United States Postal Service employee in Columbus is accused of calling two gay men a homophobic slur.

Michael Coward and his fiance Michael Vaughn were headed to a dinner party, Tuesday night, when Coward went over and grabbed his mail from his mailbox. The USPS driver was delivering mail at the time. When Coward grabbed his mail, he says the worker reacted negatively. He says she was annoyed that he didn't wait until she was finished.

"I started arguing with her and she called me a [expletive]," he said.

Man Arrested For Having Sex With A Pony

A utility worker was arrested after reportedly being spotted having sex with a pony in Rogers County on Wednesday morning.

Authorities received multiple calls from an area west of Inola where a naked man was found to be having sex with a miniature horse in a pen, Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton said.

Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the intersection of County Road 4190 and Montrose Lane, according to an affidavit. A witness told investigators she saw a man "full nude standing in the field having sex with a pony," according to the affidavit.

Charles Rhines, a gay man from South Dakota, was convicted in the 1992 stabbing death of a donut shop worker. But instead of facing a long prison sentence, the jury gave him the death penalty.

Their reason? Since he’s gay, he would ‘enjoy’ prison too much.

In June, Rhines attempted to appeal this sentence. Despite three of the jurors admitting their homophobic biases, the court refused to hear his appeal.
