Teacher Arrested For Solicitation of Minor Male Student

BALTIMORE (AP) — A former Carroll County teacher has been indicted by a federal grand jury for using a facility of interstate commerce to attempt to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity.

A U.S. Attorney’s Office news release says 39-year-old Kenneth Brian Fischer was indicted Thursday.

According to the single count indictment, Fischer used electronic mail and text messaging to attempt to coerce a minor to meet for sex between Aug. 31 and Sept. 5.

The news release says Fischer was previously arrested on related charges and has been in custody since Sept. 13.

Teens Not Guilty After Catfishing Teacher on Grindr/Passing Out His Private Photos

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. — A North Carolina high school student accused of "catfishing" a teacher and circulating his nude photo has been found not guilty.

Brittney Renee Luckenbaugh, 16, was acquitted Thursday on the charge of misdemeanor disclosure of private images. The case against Brian Joshua Anderson,16, on the same offense is pending.

The boyfriend of a man who was found apparently strangled to death in the closet of the home they shared was charged in the killing.

Christian Alexander Ortiz, 21, was charged with murder in the death of Brayan Rodriguez, who had been reported missing by his family, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Prosecutors confirm the two were in a relationship.

A York man apparently upset because he thought his boyfriend was a male prostitute, used a knife to stab his boyfriend multiple times, York City Police said in charging documents.

Fernando Sanchez Joynes, 34, of the 600 block of West Clarke Avenue, was sent to York County Prison after he was unable to post $50,000 bail following his arraignment Jan. 18.

Delvonn Heckard, the Kent man whose sexual abuse lawsuit against Seattle Mayor Ed Murray last year prompted other allegations to come to light — eventually leading to Murray’s resignation — was found dead early Friday of an apparent drug overdose in an Auburn motel.

“In my opinion, a hero died today,” attorney Lincoln Beauregard said Friday morning.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Heckard’s death on Friday afternoon, noting the official cause and manner of his death are pending.

Authorities say Jessica Lewis, 34  met Marteese Williams, 25 on the classified ad site Craigslist for a casual encounter.  According to reports, immediately after Lewis began complaining of extreme pain in her cervical area and sought medical attention.
