Stan Lee On Why He Never Created An LGBTQ Character

Because he didn't want to! As a black gay fan of Marvel I never felt like it was totally needed.  Why?  The Mutant story line so closely paralled the Civil Rights/LGBTQ movement without saying "this is a parallel"  But in his own words Stan said:

Back in 2015 the Marvel creator sat down with SheKnows and explained it never ‘occurred’ to him to make one of them gay.

‘No, I really have not,’ the 92-year-old said. ‘I don’t think it’s necessary to have every type of person in the world in the stories.’

Stan Lee, Creator Of The X Men Dies At Age 95

Stan Lee, the creator behind many Marvel Comics characters, has died at 95. 

According to TMZ, as well as The Hollywood Reporter, Lee was transported from his Hollywood Hills home Monday morning and was taken to the hospital where he later died. 

Lee started at Marvel Comics (then known as Timely Comics) in 1939 as an assistant.

Later in the 1960's he, with Jack Kirby, created The Fantastic Four as well as Spider Man, Black Panther, the X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, and many more. 

Grey's Anatomy Star Jake Borelli Comes Out

Grey’s Anatomy actor Jake Borelli just came out as gay, at the same time the character he plays came out as bisexual.

Borelli plays Levi Schmitt, who kisses Nico Kim (Alex Landi) in the hallway of the latest episode. His character reveals he’s never kissed a man before.

Then the 27-year-old actor took to Instagram to share his own coming out story.

Last night (1 November), Borelli wrote: ‘As a gay guy myself, tonight’s episode was so special to me.

Netflix reboot Chilling Adventures of Sabrina stars the British actor in the role of the protagonist’s cousin and confidant.

A confined warlock, Ambrose works for the funeral home owned by his aunts Hilda and Zelda. Therefore, he spends most of his days in the embalmment room and deals with corpses on a daily basis.

Actors of Color Played The Most Queer Characters on TV This Year

Things are looking up for LGBTQ representation on TV, according to GLAAD’s Where We Are on TV report, released Thursday. The annual report analyzes the overall diversity of primetime scripted series regulars on broadcast networks and assesses the number of LGBTQ characters on cable networks as well as original scripted series on Amazon, Hulu, and Netflix for the 2018-2019 TV season. Overall, the percentage of LGBTQ series regulars on broadcast television increased from last year’s 6.4 percent to 8.8 percent — a record high.

Gay Vlogger Tank Hafertepen Dies After Complications Of Lung Infection and Penile Silicone Injection

28-year-old Jack Chapman (also known as Tank Heathcliff Hafertepen) died on the morning of 15 October at the Swedish Medical Center hospital in Seattle, Washington.

‘Silicon Injection Syndrome’ was listed as one of four causes of death, according to the death certificate.

The other causes of death were all related to his lungs. These were diffuse alveolar haemorrhage (bleeding into the lungs), acute respiratory distress (lung failure) and pneumonitis (inflamation of the lungs).

Gay Radio Host Shocks Audience When He Reveals How Many Men He's F*cked

Brooklyn Ross, 30, the news presenter on Australia’s top-rated Kyle and Jackie O radio show, surprised his co-hosts today when he revealed how many sexual partners he’s had.

Ross, who is gay, was asked to reveal the stats on his sexual history, by presenter Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.

Rather than give a precise number, Henderson asks him, ‘What would you say less than?’

‘Less than 200,’ Ross replies.

‘Wow!’ responds Henderson.
