Lil Kim's Album Sales Skyrocket After Ending Feud With Nicki Minaj

Kim and Nicki may never be friends but this week they are sharing the charts. After news broke of Lil Kim ending the feud with Nicki Minaj, Kim's albums Notorious KIM, and Hard Core both rentered the charts.  She also saw an increase in streams on all platforms including a 450% jump on Spotfiy.  Kim recently spoke about her fued with Nicki during an interview.

During a radio interview on Real 92.3 this week, the "No Matter What They Say" rapper addressed her ongoing feud with Minaj, despite hilariously telling ET in June she "doesn't know" her.

Nicki Minaj and her ex-boyfriend, the rapper and Love & Hip-Hop star Safaree Samuels, engaged in a vicious Twitter battle today, with each making claims about events that took place during their relationship. (Nicki and Safaree dated for 12 years, and broke up in 2014.)

Among the many accusations, Safaree claimed that at one point, he needed to be hospitalized after Nicki “cut” him and he “almost died.” “I had to lie and tell them I was trying to kill myself so they wouldn’t take you to jail,” he wrote. “When things like that start happening more than once it's time to dip.”

Rapper Sentenced To 12 Years In Prison Over Violent Lyrics In Cocaine Case

Dallas-based rapper NaNa was sentenced to 12 years in prison based on his “violent” lyrics. The problem is, NaNa was charged for a nonviolent crime.

U.S. District Judge Barbara Lynn gave NaNa – whose real name is Nykees Earl Campbell – the 12-year sentence on July 18, Dallas News reports. Judge Lynn used his lyrics as references to crimes the rapper was suspected of committing. “You’re bragging about shooting a person,” Judge Lynn said in court. “It’s violence times 10 at every phase.”

Rumor Has It: Nicki Minaj Teaching Adele To Rap For Her Upcoming Album

Last summer Adele said she may never sing again from what proclaimed to be her last ever performances due to damaged vocal cords, leaving many fans worried over when they would see the star again.

But now reports suggest the 30-year-old could be back and not just singing but rapping as well.

The Sun claims that Adele has returned to her London hometown from US, where she's been living, with the intention to make new music and has enlisted friends Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea and some A List Hip Hop producers to help create a new sound.

Nicki Minaj Teases "Boo'd Up" Remix With Quavo and Ella Mai

Just in time for the Team Minaj Awards, Nicki teases that she and Quavo are on the remix to the summer smash "Boo'd Up" with Ella Mai.  This has also reignited rumors that Nicki and Quavo are boo'd up in real life.  In her instagram post she posts: 

I heard this comes out in like 2 hours. Don’t hold me to it tho. #BoodUp...

Cardi B, Bad Bunny and J Balvin's "I Like It" lifts from No. 2 to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, granting Cardi B an unprecedented feat in the chart's history, as she becomes the first female rapper with two No. 1s. She first reigned with her debut hit, "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)," for three weeks beginning Oct. 7, 2017.

Meanwhile, Latin music stars Bad Bunny and Balvin earn their first Hot 100 No. 1 each.

Cardi B's Record Second Hot 100 No. 1: "Like" is the 1,076th No. 1 in the Hot 100's archives, which dates to the chart's Aug. 4, 1958, inception.

Drake Annihilates First Day Streaming Records With Scorpion

While Drake‘s newest release features some controversial topics (ie: him being a father), it’s definitely helping to boost those streaming numbers, and earn him another No. 1 record.

Additionally, Apple Music shows that ‘Scorpion‘ has earned 170 million streams in its first day alone; breaking the previous record held by himself.

Furthermore, Drizzy’s newest effort nearly doubled his 89.9 million first-day streams from his 2017 playlist ‘More Life.’

JAY-Z and Beyoncé have released their collaborative album, Everything Is Love. Stream it via Tidal. Rumors have long swirled, but they escalated in March when the couple announced their joint tour, OTR II. Last November, JAY also told The New York Times that a project with Bey started coming together as they worked on 4:44 and Lemonade. “We were using our art almost like a therapy session,” he said at the time.
