As cases of Covid 19 continue to rise in Georgia and around the country, a video that has gone viral on social media shows a group of friends attending what appears to be a cookout in Piedmont park and some of the attendees are being called out by their friends. On man who attended has posted an apology video after he was spotted.
Friends who called him out say they did so specifically because just weeks ago, he was battling Covid-19, and had begged friends and family to stay indoors and practice social distancing.
In the video he expressed remorse.
“I was at a friends barbeque, I didn’t have a mask on, I wasn’t practicing social distancing”
“I don’t know if any of you have had a near death experience but it changes you.”
As the video continues to make its rounds, others have vowed to call out attendees they recognized as well.
"I see a couple of people I'm about to put on blast," one person replied.
Georgia reported 23,481 positive cases of the coronavirus and 916 deaths Sunday, up 265 cases and nine deaths.
The Georgia Department of Public Health reported 4,377 people who tested positive are currently in the hospital.
